The Barn

Location:
Uluwatu, Bali

Made entirely of reclaimed Ulin ironwood such as decking, flooring, paneling, ceiling and even beams in addition with glass, banana fiber paper and other rich materials.

The location was designed with a strong appreciation for building materials that were previously used for varied purposes and vernacular architecture in mind.He was greatly influenced by the architecture and craftsmanship of Indonesia and Japan, which is why he tried to work outside of his own comfort zone.This extremely talented and skilled architect has created yet another exquisite project.

Ocean Palm

Location:
Pererenan, Bali

This towering private mansion is situated in the center of Pererenan, Bali, and was constructed from reclaimed wood. Both the interior open area and the area next to the pool use smooth ulin ironwood decking boards. The movie theater room and living room have tongue-and-groove flooring that is smooth. This eco-friendly, luxuriously designed home seamlessly integrates with its surroundings.

Pondok Langon

Location:
Lodtunduh, Bali

Pondok Langon is a family home in Bali that was meticulously planned and constructed using only salvaged wood, successfully avoiding the use of any new wood during construction. Everything is recovered, including the joists, floors, and rafters. Numerous windows and doors were salvaged from post-earthquake demolitions in Java. Bengkirai and Ulin sawn timber are utilized on site for walls and flooring, respectively, and for stairs, benchtops, decking, and extra flooring. MasaKini used wood from Kaltimber's Ulin and Bengkirai to create a unique kitchen.

Hidden Hills Private Residence

The owners of the Hidden Hills estate used decking and salvaged Ulin flooring from Kaltimber.

Soulshine Estate

Location:
Ubud, Bali

Architects Kadek from Gapura Bali and Kadek Gunarta from Dek's Studio created this villa.The deck is made from a range of lengths and widths of rough-finished Ulin, as well as solid old Ulin railway sleepers used for the stairs. 2 × 15 Ulin is used on the deck and pool stairs, arranged in a fan-like pattern. Random Ulin boards are used by the bridge.

Tampaksiring House

Bali

For this project, Naturanexa provided 5 x 10 Ulin joists and Kaltimber provided 3 x 10 processed Ulin decking with a pencil round finish. After Timber Sanctuary erected the deck, it was left unfinished so that it may weather and age naturally.

Umajati Private Residence

Location:
Ubud, Bali

Kaltimber provided replacement wall, floor, and stair components for this Ubud, Bali rehabilitation project. For their floors and steps, the owners utilized solid 4 cm by 15 cm Bengkirai boards. They used Bengkirai and Ulin, measuring 8 cm by 12 cm, for joists and posts. The dimensions of the wall panels were 3cm x 20cm Red Kapur. On-site construction of the bespoke doors was done with salvaged Bengkirai.
